As the world continues to adapt to a more home-centric lifestyle, virtual fitness programs have seen a surge in popularity, especially in Latin America. Sensor Tower's data for the fourth quarter of 2020 provides a clear picture of how these applications fared on the Android platform.
Lose Weight App for Women by Leap Fitness Group exhibited a decrease in downloads from 229K in the last week of September to 153K by the end of December. Weekly active users followed a similar downward trend, starting at 1.55M and dipping to 1.31M. The app's revenue showed fluctuations, peaking at 211K USD in mid-November before falling to 63K USD by year's end.
Workout for Women: Fit at Home also saw a decline in downloads, from 184K to 113K over the same period. Active users decreased from 1.29M to 954K. Revenue for the app was relatively stable, ending the quarter at 79K USD after some variability.
Despite having no reported revenue, Zepp Life showed an interesting pattern in downloads, with a significant spike to 245K in the third week of December before settling back to 127K. This app's weekly active users consistently grew, starting at 2.98M and reaching 3.36M by the close of the quarter.
The Six Pack in 30 Days app experienced a decrease in downloads, going from 123K to 98K. The number of weekly active users also saw a reduction, from 1.05M to 920K. Revenue trends were slightly more positive, with an increase from 78K USD to 88K USD.
Lastly, Lose Weight App for Men observed a drop in downloads from 122K to 64K and a decrease in active users from 1.04M to 829K. However, its revenue remained somewhat consistent, ending the quarter at 131K USD.
