In the third quarter of 2022, the performance of the top 5 travel and local apps on the Android platform in Ireland showed varied trends in downloads and active users. Here's an overview of how these apps fared:
Ryanair saw weekly downloads fluctuate between approximately 3.3K and 4.6K. The number of weekly active users experienced a slight decline from around 14K in late June to 12.4K by the end of September.
Booking.com: Hotels & Travel had a notable trend in weekly downloads, starting strong at 3.4K in late June and gradually decreasing to 2.7K by the end of September. Weekly active users also saw a decline, from 125K in late June to approximately 99K by the end of the quarter.
FREENOW - Taxi and more experienced weekly downloads ranging from about 2.6K to 3.6K. The app's weekly active users showed an upward trend, growing from around 9.6K in late June to nearly 9.8K by the end of September.
Aer Lingus App had weekly downloads that hovered around the 2.7K mark throughout the quarter. The weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly but ending the quarter at around 5.3K.
Viator Tours & Attractions saw weekly downloads decrease from about 2.3K in late June to 1.9K by the end of September. However, the app's weekly active users increased from 6K to approximately 7.4K during the same period.
