In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top consumer finance applications on the Android platform in Brazil exhibited notable trends in downloads and weekly active users. Data from Sensor Tower reveals interesting insights into the performance of these leading apps.
Nubank: conta, cartão e mais saw a substantial number of downloads, peaking at 1M in the week of October 2. Despite fluctuations, the app maintained a strong presence, ending the quarter with around 547K downloads in the final week of December. Weekly active users showed a high of approximately 41.5M in early October, with a slight decline to about 36.5M by the end of December.
PicPay: Conta, Cartão e Pix had a steady download performance, with a peak of around 413K in mid-October. By the last week of December, downloads were at approximately 326K. The app's weekly active users began the quarter at around 11.4M, experiencing a gradual decrease to roughly 10.4M by the end of the quarter.
Mercado Pago: cuenta digital showed consistent downloads throughout the quarter, peaking at around 269K in late October. By the end of December, downloads were slightly lower at approximately 238K. Weekly active users demonstrated a steady increase, starting at around 7.7M and reaching approximately 9M by the end of the quarter.
CAIXA experienced a stable download rate, peaking at around 255K in the final week of December. Weekly active users for CAIXA started at about 10.4M in late September, rising to approximately 11.1M by the end of December, indicating consistent user engagement.
Santander Brasil maintained a steady download rate, peaking at roughly 173K in early November and ending the quarter with about 131K downloads. Weekly active users showed a slight downward trend, starting at around 10.2M and decreasing to approximately 9.7M by the end of December.
