As 2023 came to a close, the trivia game category on Android devices saw varied performances among the top contenders in France. Sensor Tower's detailed analysis offers a snapshot of how these games fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Kahoot! Play & Create Quizzes showed a notable increase in revenue, rising from approximately $1.2M in the last week of September to around $1.3M by the end of December. Downloads peaked at around 17K in mid-December, after a low of 7K in late October. The game's weekly active users fluctuated, with a high of approximately 86K in mid-December.
GeoGuessr also experienced growth in revenue, starting the quarter with around $600 and ending with approximately $1.3M. Downloads saw a dramatic surge in the last week of December, reaching over 3K from a steady average of about 1.6K. The weekly active users peaked at nearly 9K in the same period.
For Vakarm - Jeu des problèmes, the revenue showed some fluctuations but ended the quarter slightly lower at around $600. Downloads doubled from around 1K in late September to over 2K by the year's end. The weekly active user count mirrored this trend, with an increase from roughly 2.1K to over 3.2K.
QuizDuel! Quiz & Trivia Game saw its revenue fluctuate throughout the quarter, ending at about $600. Downloads, however, had a remarkable rise, starting at around 2.4K and soaring to 7.5K by the last week of December. Weekly active users followed suit, increasing from about 22K to over 31K.
Elevate - Brain Training Games experienced modest revenue growth, with an increase from $200 to $400 by the quarter's end. Downloads saw a substantial increase in the final week of December, hitting over 600 from a low of 17 in early October. The game's weekly active users showed a steady increase, ending at nearly 3K.
