In the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 photography apps on the Android platform in Kuwait showcased varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared:
X PhotoKit saw fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at around $9 in mid-January and reaching $5 in the last week of February. Weekly downloads were relatively stable, starting at 3.5K in early January and peaking at 5.9K in the week of January 22. Active users showed a steady increase, starting from 4.3K at the beginning of the quarter and reaching 7.6K by the end of March.
PixLab - Photo Editor had no reported revenue throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend, with an initial 3.9K downloads in the first week of January dropping to 1.5K by mid-February. However, active users remained strong, starting at 7.8K and peaking at 11.2K in the week of February 19, before stabilizing around 10.5K towards the end of March.
Photoroom AI Photo Editor experienced a consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $450 throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads saw a decline from 2K in early January to around 600 in the first week of March, but there was a notable recovery to 1.4K by the end of March. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 3.5K and dipping to 2K by early March, before rebounding to 2.9K in the final week of the quarter.
Google Photos did not report any revenue during the quarter. Weekly downloads remained steady, fluctuating between 1.2K and 1.4K. The app maintained a high number of active users, starting at approximately 403K and peaking at 415K in early March, before slightly dropping to around 406K by the end of the quarter.
DSLR Camera Pro - Magic Editor also reported no revenue for the quarter. Weekly downloads were inconsistent, starting at 2.3K in early January, dropping to around 350 in mid-February, and then rising again to 2.1K in mid-March. Active users showed a similar pattern, starting at 1.4K and peaking at 2K in mid-March before dropping to 1K by the end of the quarter.
