During the second quarter of 2024, the top sandbox games on the Android platform in Brazil demonstrated notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here is an overview of their performance:
Roblox experienced a significant increase in both weekly downloads and revenue. The game's weekly downloads started at 309K in early April and peaked at 679K by mid-June. Revenue also saw a consistent rise, starting at $146K and reaching around $226K in the same period. Active users for Roblox showed a steady increase from 20.3M to 22.2M throughout the quarter.
Minecraft exhibited a gradual improvement in weekly downloads and revenue. Downloads increased from approximately 4.8K in early April to around 6.7K by the end of June. Revenue grew from $39K to $75K over the quarter. Active users also saw an upward trend, starting at 377K and closing the quarter at 594K.
Blockman Go saw fluctuations in its performance metrics. Weekly downloads surged from 24K to 52K by the end of May, with a slight dip in June. Revenue followed a similar trend, starting at $3.6K and peaking at $4.6K. Active users increased from 58K to 73K, showing a positive engagement trend.
Terraria showed a steady but modest performance. Weekly downloads ranged between 374 and 862, with revenue peaking at around $3K. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around the 10K mark throughout the quarter.
Melon Sandbox had an impressive quarter with significant growth in all metrics. Weekly downloads rose from 44K to nearly 68K, while revenue increased from a minimal $18 to over $500. Active users grew from 242K to 333K, indicating strong user retention and engagement.
