Fitness and health enthusiasts have been keenly tracking their progress with various apps, and as we move through the second quarter of 2024, Sensor Tower provides insights into how the top 5 fitness and weight loss apps have performed on the iOS platform.
The YAZIO Calorie Counter & Diet app saw consistent revenue throughout the quarter, hovering around $20K-$24K. Downloads peaked in early June with over 2K, while weekly active users showed an upward trend, from 36K in early April to almost 39K by the end of June.
komoot - hike, bike & run experienced a significant revenue jump to nearly $30K in late May, followed by a dip to around $16K. Downloads showed a high of 3.2K in early May, and weekly active users reached a peak of over 21K in the same period, but both metrics saw a general decline towards the end of the quarter.
Strava: Run, Bike, Hike app's revenue trended upwards from $10K to $17K throughout the quarter, with a notable spike to nearly $15K in late April. Downloads saw a significant surge to 4K mid-April, while weekly active users steadily increased from 11K to nearly 12K.
The bergfex: hiking & tracking app showed a moderate revenue increase from $6.8K to around $10.5K. Download numbers were highest at the end of April with 1.5K, and weekly active users grew from roughly 2.3K to 2.6K by the quarter's end.
Lastly, MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter saw its revenue fluctuate around the $5K-$6.7K mark, with downloads remaining under 1K for the most part. Weekly active users had a high of 59K in mid-May, but the trend remained relatively stable, ending the quarter with around 56K active users.
