In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the top insurance applications on the iOS platform in Ecuador showcased diverse trends in downloads and active user engagement. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into how these apps fared in a competitive market.
Mi Humana, published by Mediecuador Humana SA, experienced fluctuating weekly downloads throughout the quarter. The app started with 129 downloads in the first week of July, peaking at 143 downloads by mid-July, and then ending the quarter with 97 downloads in the final week of September.
Assist Card demonstrated a gradual increase in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads began at 113 in early July, reaching a peak of 104 downloads in late September. The active user base showed a steady pattern, with numbers starting at 204 and closing at 173 by the end of the quarter.
BMI Ahorro Ecuador, from Best Meridian Insurance Company, showed a consistent yet modest download rate. Weekly downloads began at 73 in early July, maintaining a steady flow and finishing with 68 downloads at the end of September.
ASERTEC Plus experienced notable growth in downloads, starting at 57 in early July and achieving a significant increase to 109 by the end of September. This app, from ASERTEC S.A., showed a promising upward trend in user acquisition.
My Bupa Latin America had a relatively stable download rate with a slight peak in early September, reaching 81 downloads. The app maintained a steady weekly download rate, concluding the quarter with 34 downloads.
