In the final quarter of 2024, the leading insurance applications on the iOS platform in the United States exhibited varied performance trends in terms of downloads and active users. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps have shown dynamic movements in the market, reflecting their popularity and user engagement levels.
Progressive consistently maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads fluctuating around the 110K to 120K range. Despite a slight dip towards the end of December, downloads peaked at approximately 121K. The app's weekly active users hovered around 1.4M, with a noticeable increase in early December, reaching over 1.45M.
State Farm® showed significant growth, especially in December, where weekly downloads surged to over 141K. The app's active user base also expanded notably, rising from 426K at the start of the quarter to over 616K by mid-December, before concluding the year at around 535K.
UnitedHealthcare experienced a remarkable rise in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 66K and ending the quarter with a peak of over 178K. The active users mirrored this growth, increasing from 178K in early October to over 308K by the end of December.
GEICO Mobile - Car Insurance maintained a stable download rate throughout the quarter, with a slight increase towards the end, reaching around 59K. Its active user base remained relatively steady, concluding the quarter with approximately 653K users.
Allstate® Mobile had a more modest performance with weekly downloads ranging between 26K to 34K. The app's active users remained consistent, with minor fluctuations, ending the quarter with about 690K users.
