See the top social networking apps for 2018 worldwide and in the U.S. according to Sensor Tower data.
The top social networking app by downloads in 2018 was Facebook at more than 710 million new installs, with nearly 25 percent of those from India. The top 10 apps are shown above. App download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.
The next most downloaded social networking app was TikTok, followed by Instagram, Snapchat, and Vigo Video. Facebook and TikTok accounted for 50 percent of the top 10 apps' total installs.
The top social networking app in the U.S. for 2018 was also Facebook, with more than 41 million downloads. The next top app was Instagram, followed by Snapchat, TikTok, and Pinterest.
