Top Streaming Apps Worldwide for August 2020 by Downloads

Netflix was the most downloaded streaming app worldwide for August 2020 with more than 19.2 million installs. The countries with the most installs of the app during this period were the United States at 17 percent of its total downloads and Brazil at 11 percent. The full top 10 ranking of streaming apps worldwide by downloads for August 2020 is above. App download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

YouTube was the second most installed streaming app worldwide last month with more than 17.7 million installs. The countries with the largest number of YouTube installs were the U.S. at 23 percent, followed by Brazil at 8 percent. Amazon Prime Video, YouTube Kids, and Tencent Video rounded out the top five most installed streaming apps worldwide for the month.
