As the year 2020 wrapped up, the puzzle/riddle gaming category on Android in Brazil saw varying performance across popular titles. Sensor Tower provides a closer look at how these games fared in the fourth quarter.
Clue Hunter by Lion Studios maintained a steady download trend with figures fluctuating between 197K and 314K. The weekly active users peaked at 681K in mid-November but ended the quarter with a slight uptick at around 592K.
Emoji Puzzle! from Supersonic Studios LTD saw a decline in downloads from 311K at the start of the quarter to 200K by the end. However, weekly active users showed resilience, bouncing back to 615K in the last week of December from a low of 379K earlier in the month.
Unico Studio's Who is? Brain Teaser & Riddles experienced a significant rise in downloads, starting at 27K and reaching 178K by the end of October, then stabilizing around the 150K mark towards the end of the quarter. Active users also saw a healthy increase, ending at 272K.
Papers Grade Please!, another title from Lion Studios, had a significant spike in downloads in early October, reaching 275K, but saw a gradual decline thereafter. The weekly active users, however, increased from 50K to almost 248K by the end of December.
Lastly, Brain Out: Can you pass it? by Focus apps showed a steady increase in downloads throughout the quarter, from 72K to 188K. The game also experienced a robust growth in active users, ending the year with over 352K weekly active users, the highest among the top five.
