In the final quarter of 2020, the mobile MOBA genre continued to captivate French iOS users. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a glimpse into the performance of the top five MOBA applications during this period.
League of Legends: Wild Rift started strong with downloads peaking at 235K in the first week of December, then experiencing a downward trend to reach 25K by the month's end. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, dropping from 153K to 95K. However, the game's revenue showed a slight increase in the third week to $37K before dipping to $26K.
Supercell's Brawl Stars demonstrated a robust presence with weekly revenues soaring to $362K before settling at $157K. The game's downloads saw a substantial hike in the third week of December at 47K, while active users peaked at 560K in the same week.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang maintained a steady flow of revenue, reaching $26K in the third week and concluding the quarter at $17K. Downloads remained consistent, with a slight uptick to 2K in the final weeks. The active user base saw a minor decrease from 25K to 20K.
Kabam's MARVEL Realm of Champions made its debut in mid-December and garnered revenue of $1K in its first week, which increased to $2K in the following week. Downloads for the title saw a peak of 8K in the second week but ended the quarter with 6K. The weekly active users count reached 6K by the month's end.
King of Crabs showed modest numbers with revenues peaking at $271 in the second week of December and finishing the quarter at $126. The game's downloads witnessed a surge to 498 in the first week of December, then stabilized around 284 by the quarter's close. Active users reached a high of 594 in the same period but decreased to 359 by the end of December.
