State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!

In the first quarter of 2021, Latin America's automotive app landscape on Android saw a mix of trends. Android Auto, published by Google LLC, began the quarter with around 26K downloads and ended with approximately 18K, showing a declining trend. However, weekly active users remained robust, starting at 2.5M and growing to 2.6M by the end of March.
Android Auto for phone screens also experienced a decline in downloads from 16K to 21K, whereas weekly active users saw an increase from 4.2K to 5.7K, suggesting a growing user base despite fewer new downloads.
The Infocar - OBD2 ELM Diagnostic app by Infocar Co., Ltd. had variable download numbers, peaking at around 17K in early February and then dipping to approximately 11K by the end of March. Active users showed a similar fluctuation, with a peak of around 16K mid-February before settling at nearly 14K.
Car Scanner ELM OBD2, from Russian publisher 0vZ, garnered around 11K downloads at the start of the quarter and saw a slight drop to 7.9K by the end of March. Active users also decreased slightly from 17.5K to 16.1K. Notably, the app generated revenue throughout the quarter, with a notable spike to $335 in the week of February 22.
Lastly, MotorData OBD ELM car scanner by JSC Legion-Autodata, saw its downloads decrease from 8.8K to 5.8K. The weekly active users showed a more positive trend, with an initial drop from 137.6K to 135.7K in early March, followed by a rise to around 143K in the last week of March.
