In the first quarter of 2021, the French Android market for insurance applications saw varied performance trends across the top five apps. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a snapshot of user engagement and download metrics during this period.
Harmonie & moi, an app from Harmonie Mutuelle, maintained a strong presence with download figures starting at approximately 5K and peaking at 8K in the first week of January. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, with numbers beginning at 18K and reaching a high of 22K in the same period.
MACIF, published by MACIF, also demonstrated consistent engagement. Downloads fluctuated around the 3K to 4K mark, while active users showcased a steady trend, ranging from around 16K to 18K throughout the quarter.
Another notable performer was Santé WTW by Gras Savoye. The app saw a significant spike in downloads in early January, hitting over 16K, before gradually tapering off to approximately 2K by the end of March. Active user counts mirrored this trajectory, starting at nearly 18K and eventually settling at around 14K.
Mon Allianz mobile from Allianz IARD witnessed downloads in the range of 2K to 3K, with a slight decline observed towards the end of Q1. The app's weekly active users started at approximately 7K and experienced a modest drop to around 6K by the quarter's close.
Lastly, Vivinter, despite having no reported revenue, showed an interesting download pattern with a peak of over 21K downloads mid-February before a decrease to just over 1K by the end of March. Active user data for Vivinter was not available during the quarter.
