2025 State of Mobile is Live!
The first quarter of 2021 has seen varying performances among the top MMORPG applications on Android within Europe. Sensor Tower's data offers a comprehensive look at how these games fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Pasha Fencer, published by 4399 Games, showed a declining trend in all three metrics. Starting with approximately 123K downloads in the last week of December 2020, it dropped to around 16K by the end of March 2021. Revenue also saw a decrease from 300K USD at the beginning of the period to just over 75K USD. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, falling from 177K to around 32K.
In contrast, Stella Arcana by HaoPlay USA, which was released in early January 2021, experienced an initial surge in revenue, reaching up to 96K USD in the last week of January before stabilizing around 78K USD by the end of March. Downloads for the game started strong at over 102K but gradually decreased to 16K. The weekly active user count followed a similar pattern, starting at 81K and declining to 26K.
Black Desert Mobile, from PEARL ABYSS, showed more stability in revenue, maintaining over 100K USD for most of the quarter before dipping to around 78K USD. Downloads witnessed a spike in mid-February at 45K but otherwise maintained a level around 20K. The active users had a high point of 357K at the end of December, with a slight recovery in late March to around 151K after a dip in the preceding weeks.
Foxie Ventures' Dino Tamers - Jurassic MMO remained relatively low in revenue, peaking at 3K USD, and showed a consistent decrease in downloads from 44K to around 17K. The weekly active users showed a gradual decline from 43K to just under 22K.
Lastly, Blade&Soul: Revolution by Netmarble, which launched in early March, had an impressive start with revenue hitting 140K USD in its first full week post-launch, before settling to around 68K USD. Downloads peaked at 152K in the same week but then sharply decreased to 3K. Weekly active users showed a peak of 160K immediately after release but then dropped to about 14K by the end of the month.
