The first quarter of 2021 has seen varied performances among the top shopping applications on the Android platform in France. Here is a brief look at how each app fared during this period, with data provided by Sensor Tower.
AliExpress experienced a significant increase in both downloads and weekly active users. Downloads started at around 45K in the last week of December and saw a peak of approximately 128K in late March. Weekly active users also showed a positive trend, rising from 1.5M at the end of December to nearly 1.9M by the end of March.
Vinted - Buy and sell clothes showed a more consistent performance in downloads, with numbers hovering between 44K and 68K throughout the quarter. However, the app did see a slight decline in weekly active users from 1.25M to around 1.38M.
SHEIN-Shopping Online witnessed a steady increase in both downloads and weekly active users. The app downloads grew from 40K to over 63K, while active users increased significantly from 796K to over 1.35M.
leboncoin, petites annonces showed fluctuating download numbers, starting at around 47K and dipping to 36K before rising again to 51K in late March. Its weekly active users remained relatively high, starting at 2.14M and maintaining above 2.25M throughout the quarter.
Amazon Shopping saw a decrease in downloads from 54K to 35K by the end of March. However, the app maintained a strong base of weekly active users, starting at 2.87M and only slightly decreasing to 2.73M.
