The first quarter of 2021 has been eventful for MMORPGs on the iOS platform in Brazil. We've analyzed the top five MMORPG applications, and here's how they fared according to data from Sensor Tower.
Icarus M: Riders of Icarus, published by VALOFE Co., LTD from South Korea, showed a significant spike in downloads in the last week of January, reaching over 32K downloads, after which the download trend saw a decline to low single digits. The weekly active users data was not available.
For Stella Arcana- Eternal Stars, released by HaoPlay USA, Inc., the revenue started strong at the beginning of Q1 with $1.8K in the first week, but experienced a downward trend, ending the quarter with $381. Downloads peaked at over 8K in the first week of January but dropped sharply, eventually stabilizing at low single digits.
Netmarble Corporation's Blade&Soul: Revolution launched on March 2nd, and it generated considerable revenue, starting at $2.4K in its launch week, which then dropped to $138 by the end of the month. Downloads mirrored this trend, with an initial 7K downloads decreasing to just over 100 in the same period.
Dragon Raja by Archosaur Games from China had a fluctuating revenue pattern, with a mid-February peak at over $2K, followed by a decrease to $229 by the end of March. Downloads showed a significant increase in mid-March, reaching over 2.8K. The weekly active users increased over the quarter, starting at 443 and reaching over 3K by late March.
Lastly, Black Desert Mobile, developed by Pearl Abyss Corp., experienced its revenue peak in late February at nearly $4K, followed by a decrease to $407 by the end of March. The downloads peaked in mid-February at over 1.5K, with a notable spike to 1.2K in late March. Weekly active users saw a high in late February at over 3.8K but maintained a relatively steady level around 2.7K by the end of the quarter.
