Q1 2021 Performance of Top Dating Apps in Brazil

In the first quarter of 2021, the Brazilian dating app scene saw varied user engagement across the top platforms. Data provided by Sensor Tower unveils the downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for each app, presenting a comprehensive overview of their performance.

Starting with Badoo Dating App: Meet & Date, the app exhibited a steady increase in downloads, starting from 150K in the last week of December and peaking at 207K in the second week of February. The weekly active users followed an upward trend, growing from 4.3M to 4.9M in the same period.

Tinder Dating app. Meet People showed a more fluctuating pattern in downloads but maintained a range between 150K and 190K. The weekly active users saw a noticeable dip from 6.6M to 5.7M, suggesting a decline in user activity over the quarter.

Lamour: Live Chat Make Friends experienced significant growth in downloads, with numbers more than tripling from 45K in late December to over 144K in the second week of March. The app's weekly active users mirrored this growth, jumping from 51K to over 213K.

For Dating and Chat - SweetMeet, the downloads skyrocketed in late January, reaching 285K, a substantial increase from the 81K recorded at the end of December. However, weekly active users peaked in early February at 336K before experiencing a decline.

Lastly, Mequeres - Dating. Flirt. Chat, despite not generating revenue, saw its downloads peak at 96K in mid-January, with weekly active users reaching over 132K around the same time. Both metrics saw fluctuations with a general downward trend towards the end of the quarter.
