The first quarter of 2021 has seen various trends in the food delivery service sector in France. According to data from Sensor Tower, the top 5 food delivery apps exhibited different performance metrics in terms of downloads and weekly active users. Here's a look at how each app fared during this period.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery experienced a fluctuating trend in downloads, starting at 102K in the last week of December and peaking at 237K in early February before dropping to 94K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a more consistent increase from 2.4M to a peak of 3.7M in late February, followed by a slight decline to 3.6M by the end of March.
Deliveroo: Food Delivery App also saw a varied trend with downloads beginning at 66K, peaking at 106K in mid-February, and then decreasing to around 54K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users grew from 664K to a high of 894K in early March before a slight drop to 866K.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste witnessed a decline in downloads from 38K to 30K over the quarter. However, weekly active users initially surged from 792K to 1.3M in early January, followed by a gradual decrease to around 1.2M by the end of March.
Just Eat FR - Livraison Repas had a steady performance in downloads, starting at 45K and peaking at around 50K in early February, then slightly decreasing to 35K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users remained stable, ranging from 203K to 195K throughout the quarter.
Jow - easy recipes & groceries, the only app in the list with a French publisher, showed a peak in downloads at 53K in early January, which then declined to 30K by the end of March. Active users exhibited growth from 147K to a peak of 189K in mid-March, before dropping to 176K.
