Throughout Q2 2021, the top educational apps on the Android platform in the Dominican Republic displayed diverse performance trends. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Duolingo: Language Lessons showed a robust performance in Q2 2021. Weekly downloads saw a significant upward trend, peaking at around 13.6K in the first week of June. Weekly revenue varied, peaking at approximately $977 in late March and showing fluctuations throughout the quarter. Active users consistently increased, reaching close to 68.5K by the end of June.
Lingokids - Play and Learn experienced a mixed performance. Downloads saw a general decline, starting at 3.1K in late March and dropping to around 1.9K by the end of June. Revenue peaked at about $445 in mid-April before stabilizing around $335 by late June. Active users mirrored the download trend, starting at 5.9K and gradually decreasing to approximately 3.9K by the end of the quarter.
EWA: Learn English & Spanish had a fluctuating quarter. Downloads spiked at around 1.9K in the last week of June, despite a low of 601 in late May. Revenue peaked at approximately $362 in mid-April but generally declined, ending the quarter around $158. Active users also saw significant fluctuations, starting at 3K in late March and finishing with a notable increase to 3.1K by the end of June.
Udemy - Online Courses maintained a steady performance. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, hovering between 140 to 220 throughout the quarter. Revenue saw a peak of about $302 in mid-April but decreased to around $125 by the end of June. Active users showed a slight increase, starting at 870 in late March and reaching over 1K by the end of June.
Domestika - Online courses demonstrated consistent activity. Downloads remained stable, averaging around 450 to 570 weekly. Revenue saw minor fluctuations, peaking at approximately $142 in early May and ending the quarter around $125. Active users increased steadily, starting at 944 in late March and reaching 1.2K by mid-June.
