The second quarter of 2021 saw notable trends in the performance of the top 5 shopping apps in Ghana. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides an in-depth look at weekly downloads and active users for these apps on a unified platform.

Jumia Online Shopping experienced a significant surge in downloads, peaking at approximately 769K in the week of June 7. This spike was reflected in the active users, which reached around 1.19M during the same period. Although downloads fluctuated, there was a notable increase mid-quarter, with weekly active users stabilizing at around 575K by the end of June.

Jiji Ghana saw a steady flow of downloads, ranging between 18K and 37K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a gradual decline, starting from 263K at the end of March and dipping to approximately 171K by the end of June.

Alibaba.com had a varied download trend, beginning with a high of 49K in late March and experiencing fluctuations before stabilizing around 48K at the end of June. Active users increased steadily, reaching about 313K by the end of June, up from 263K at the start of the quarter.
