In Q3 2021, the top 5 parenting apps on the Android platform in the US displayed diverse trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
Amazon Kids+: Books, Videos… experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, peaking at around 22K during late July and early August before dropping to approximately 16K by early September. Active users saw a slight decline from nearly 146K to 134K over the same period, with some recovery towards the end of the quarter, reaching 148K.
Phone Tracker By Number in US maintained a steady download rate, with a notable increase to 15K in late August. However, downloads dropped significantly to around 6.5K by the end of September. Active users showed a consistent upward trend, peaking at about 20.8K in early September before falling to 15.9K by the quarter's end.
Pregnancy App & Baby Tracker saw a peak in downloads in late July at approximately 12K, followed by a gradual decline to around 7.8K by late September. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at 1.17M in late June and reaching a high of 1.27M by mid-September, before settling at 1.22M.
Find my kids: live GPS tracker demonstrated a steady increase in weekly downloads, reaching 10.7K by the end of September. Active users mirrored this trend, increasing from 16.8K in late June to 30.7K by the end of the quarter. Weekly revenue showed a consistent upward trajectory, peaking at $13.4K in late September.
Pregnancy Tracker & Baby App had varied weekly downloads, peaking at around 11.5K in early July and then falling to about 6.2K by late September. Active users showed a steady increase, reaching around 428K in mid-August before stabilizing at approximately 402K by the end of the quarter.
