The third quarter of 2021 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top five shopping applications on the Android platform in Hungary. Here’s a detailed look at their weekly downloads, active users, and revenue, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Lidl Plus had notable weekly download figures, peaking at around 29.8K in the week of August 23. However, it experienced fluctuations, with the lowest downloads being approximately 10.9K in early September. The app's active users demonstrated a consistent upward trajectory, starting from 70.4K at the beginning of the quarter and reaching 133K by the end of September.
SHEIN-Shopping Online maintained a steady presence in the market. Weekly downloads showed a slight variation, ranging from 9.5K to 14.7K. The app's active users saw a peak of 116K in mid-August before settling around 102K by the end of the quarter.
Jófogás - Apróhirdetés exhibited stable weekly downloads, averaging around 6K to 9.3K throughout the quarter. Active users experienced minor fluctuations, maintaining a range between 33K and 38K.
eMAG.hu, launched in June 2021, saw its weekly downloads oscillate between 4.9K and 8K. Active user numbers showed a downward trend from 61K at the start of the quarter to approximately 51K by the end of September.
Banggood - Online Shopping faced a decline in weekly downloads, dropping from 11.2K in late June to 3.8K by the end of September. Active users mirrored this trend, decreasing from 41.7K to 35.8K over the same period.
