During the third quarter of 2021, the top 5 shopping apps on Android in Israel—SHEIN-Shopping Online, AliExpress - Shopping App, Alibaba.com - B2B marketplace, Joom. Shopping for every day, and yad2 - יד2—exhibited diverse trends in downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides an in-depth look at their performance.
SHEIN-Shopping Online had a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 16.6K in mid-August and seeing a low of around 10.3K at the end of September. The app's weekly active users ranged from about 120.8K to 141.4K, with a noticeable increase in the last weeks of the quarter.
AliExpress - Shopping App also showed variability in downloads, with numbers rising from around 6.3K at the beginning of the quarter to a high of 7.8K in mid-September. Weekly active users saw a slight increase, starting at approximately 283.6K and ending the quarter at around 291.7K.
Alibaba.com - B2B marketplace experienced a significant growth in weekly downloads, starting at 3.2K and reaching up to 6.6K by mid-September. This increase was mirrored in active users, which grew from around 63.2K to 76.2K by the end of the quarter.
Joom. Shopping for every day saw its weekly downloads rise from approximately 3.7K in late June to a high of 5.9K in mid-September. Active users varied throughout the quarter, starting at 30.1K and peaking at around 33.6K before dropping slightly to 31.1K at the end of September.
The performance of yad2 - יד2 was marked by a peak in weekly downloads of about 5.4K in late August, followed by a decline to around 2.7K at the end of September. Active users showed a mixed trend, starting at 52.5K and ending the quarter at approximately 50.2K.
