The third quarter of 2021 saw significant activity among the top dating apps on iOS in the United Kingdom. Here’s a closer look at how the leading apps performed in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date Tinder saw a consistent performance in weekly revenue, peaking at around $894K in mid-August. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a notable increase to 32.6K in mid-September. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 870K throughout the quarter.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date Bumble experienced steady weekly revenue, maintaining an average of approximately $290K. Downloads showed a positive trend, reaching 18.4K in mid-September. Active users peaked at 312K in mid-August before slightly declining towards the end of the quarter.
Yubo: Make friends, live chat Yubo's weekly revenue peaked at about $110K at the end of August. Downloads were steady, with a peak of 15.9K at the end of September. Active users saw a decline from 398K in late June to 274K by the end of September.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet Hinge maintained a consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $170K. Downloads steadily increased, peaking at 16.6K in mid-September. Active users grew from 258K in late June to 287K in mid-August, stabilizing around 266K towards the end of the quarter.
Wink - Meet New People App Wink saw a gradual increase in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $4.9K at the end of August. Downloads also rose, peaking at 19.5K in mid-September. Active users increased from 116K in late June to 159K by mid-September, before slightly declining to 139K at the end of the quarter.
