In the third quarter of 2021, the top 5 navigation apps on the iOS platform in Oceania showed diverse performance trends in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared:
Google Maps maintained a steady presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 23K and 40K. The highest download peak was observed in the final week of September with approximately 40.5K downloads. Active users hovered around the 2.4M mark, peaking at 2.5M in the last week of September.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced moderate weekly downloads, ranging from 6.6K to 10.6K. The app saw its highest download rate in the first week of July with around 10.6K downloads. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 500K throughout the quarter.
Petrol Spy Australia had lower download numbers, generally between 1.7K and 4.9K. The most significant spike was in late June with approximately 4.9K downloads. Active users showed a slight fluctuation, peaking at around 32.1K in late June and dropping to about 26.8K by the end of September.
Geocaching® saw a varied download trend, with numbers ranging from 1.4K to 4.6K. The highest download week was mid-July with roughly 4.6K downloads. Active users also varied, reaching a high of about 5.3K in mid-July and settling around 2.5K by the end of the quarter. Weekly revenue for the app fluctuated between $4.5K and $6.6K.
BPme had a steady download pattern, generally between 2K and 3K. The highest download rate was observed in late August with around 3K downloads. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 7K, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
