During the third quarter of 2021, the top 5 food delivery service applications in Nigeria showcased distinct trends in downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive overview of their performance on a unified platform.
Jumia Food - Food delivery witnessed a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 14K in the first week of August. The app maintained a consistent range of 7K to 14K downloads throughout the quarter. Active users showed a steady rise from 68.7K at the end of June to 79.1K by the end of September.
Gokada Superapp experienced relatively stable weekly downloads, fluctuating between 3.4K and 5K. The app saw a slight dip in mid-August but recovered to 4.2K downloads by the end of September.
Kwik Delivery maintained a consistent download range of approximately 1.5K to 2.1K per week. The app's performance showed minor fluctuations but remained stable overall.
Glovo: Food Delivery and more saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting from 270 at the end of June and reaching up to 2.3K by mid-September. Active users also surged, growing from 951 at the end of June to 4.7K by the end of September.
Bolt Food showed a consistent increase in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads ranged from 774 to 1.4K, while active users grew steadily from 7.1K at the end of June to 10.3K by the end of September.
