During the fourth quarter of 2021, the top five apparel applications on the Android platform in the United Kingdom exhibited diverse trends in downloads and active user engagement. Below, we delve into the performance of JD Sports, SHEIN-Shopping Online, ASOS, boohoo – Clothes Shopping, and Nike: Shoes, Apparel & Stories.
JD Sports experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 37K in the week of November 22. Weekly active users also saw a rise, starting from 96.8K at the beginning of the quarter and reaching a high of 131K in the same week.
SHEIN-Shopping Online saw a general decline in weekly downloads, starting from 32.4K at the end of September and dropping to around 18.2K by the end of December. However, weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 490K to 650K throughout the quarter.
ASOS showed fluctuations in weekly downloads, with numbers ranging from a low of 10.8K in early December to a high of 20.4K in the week of December 20. Active users saw a notable increase in the week of November 22, reaching 173K before settling around 145K by the end of the quarter.
boohoo – Clothes Shopping experienced varying download trends, peaking at 25K in mid-November and then declining to around 12.6K by the end of December. Active user numbers showed a similar pattern, with a high of 145K in mid-November and ending the quarter at approximately 120K.
Nike: Shoes, Apparel & Stories had relatively stable weekly downloads, with a peak of 16.4K in the last week of December. Active users also fluctuated, reaching a high of 89K in late November before declining to around 52K by the end of the quarter.
