The fourth quarter of 2021 saw notable activity in the Brazilian mobile gaming market. Here’s a breakdown of how the top five game applications performed on a unified platform, combining both iOS and Android data. This analysis is based on data from Sensor Tower.
Free Fire, published by Garena International I Private Limited, experienced a significant spike in weekly revenue, peaking at around $896K in the week of December 20. Weekly downloads showed a decline early in the quarter, dropping from 1.7M at the start to approximately 472K by late November, before climbing back to 708K in late December. Active users saw a decrease from 23.4M to 18.1M mid-quarter but rebounded to 19.8M by the end of December.
Subway Surfers from Sybo Games ApS had a steady climb in weekly downloads, reaching a peak of 433K in the final week of December. Revenue saw modest increases, with earnings around $2.5K in the week of December 20. Active users rose consistently from 7.8M to 12.2M in early December, peaking at 13.2M at the end of November.
8 Ball Pool™, developed by Miniclip.com, showed consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $88.9K in the last week of December. Downloads fluctuated but ended the quarter on a high note with 358K downloads. Active users increased from 3.2M to 4.2M throughout the quarter.
NEW STATE : NEW ERA OF BR by KRAFTON Inc, released in October 2021, saw a significant decline in weekly downloads from 1.3M in early November to 56K by the end of December. Revenue mirrored this trend, starting at $27.7K but dropping to $9.6K by the end of the year. Active users also saw a sharp decrease from 1.2M to 190K over the same period.
Count Masters: Crowd Runner 3D, published by Freeplay LLC, had a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 361K in mid-October. Revenue also saw a gradual rise, reaching approximately $146 in the final week of December. Active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at 338K.
