In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top five navigation apps in Russia exhibited diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the performance of these popular apps.

Yandex Maps & Navigator saw a substantial increase in revenue, peaking at around $10.9K in the week of December 6. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a notable rise to 239K in the week of December 20. The app maintained a high level of active users, starting at 9.4M in early October and ending the quarter at 9.5M.

2GIS: Offline Map & Navigation experienced consistent weekly downloads, ranging from 152K to 168K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a slight decline from 6.3M in late September to 5.8M by the end of December.

Yandex Navi – navigation, maps demonstrated significant revenue growth, especially in December, with weekly revenue reaching $25.1K in the week of December 20. Downloads showed a gradual increase, peaking at 142K in the last week of December. The app's active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 4.4M throughout the quarter.

MosMetro – metro, MCD, MCC had a varied performance in downloads, with a peak of 51K in mid-October. Active users saw a rise in early December, reaching 536K, but ended the quarter slightly lower at 431K.
