Top 5 Finance Apps on Android in Mexico Q1 2022

The first quarter of 2022 saw significant activity among the top finance apps on the Android platform in Mexico. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

BBVA México from BBVA exhibited a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting with 115K in late December and peaking at 155K by mid-March. Weekly active users also showed an upward trend, growing from approximately 6.8M to 7.6M during the quarter.

Banco Azteca, published by Banco Azteca S.A. Institución de Banca Multiple, saw fluctuations in weekly downloads, ranging from 111K to a high of 158K in mid-March. Active users grew steadily from 3.5M to 3.8M by the end of the quarter.

Mercado Pago: cuenta digital, under Mercado Libre, maintained a stable download rate, starting at 126K and ending at 129K. Active users also increased, starting at approximately 2M and reaching 2.4M by the end of March.

NanoPay-Tarjeta de crédito MCI from NanoPay Mexico saw a decline in weekly downloads, from 169K at the end of December to 93K by the end of March. Active user numbers also saw a decline, starting at 252K and ending at 233K.

Coppel: compras en línea, published by Grupo Coppel, experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at 124K in early January and stabilizing around 106K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a slight increase, starting at 1.2M and ending at 1.3M.
