In the first quarter of 2022, the top five finance applications in the United States showed varying trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here’s a detailed look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.
QuickBooks Self-Employed from Intuit Inc. experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, starting at around $450K and peaking at $600K by the end of February. Weekly downloads showed a decline from over 9K at the start of the quarter to approximately 8.7K by the end. Active users decreased from around 105K at the beginning to about 92K in late March.
MileIQ: Mileage Tracker & Log by MileIQ Inc. saw a steady weekly revenue, maintaining around $220K to $260K throughout the quarter. The app's downloads decreased from 13.5K in early January to about 11.3K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 115K to 122K.
Atlas Earth published by Atlas Reality, Inc., showed a declining trend in weekly revenue, starting at $256K and dropping to around $105K. Downloads fluctuated, with a notable dip to 13.8K in late January but climbing back to 20K by the end of March. Active users increased steadily from around 25K to 36K over the quarter.
Rocket Money - Bills & Budgets from Rocket Money had weekly revenues ranging from approximately $88K to $132K, with fluctuations throughout the quarter. Downloads started strong at over 218K, then gradually decreased to around 86K by the end of March. Active users saw a decline from 1.1M at the beginning of the quarter to about 1M by the end.
Seeking Alpha: News & Analysis by Seeking Alpha Ltd. maintained relatively stable weekly revenue, peaking at $112K in early January and ending the quarter at around $62K. Downloads remained low, with a slight increase from 2.1K to 2.8K. Active users hovered around 200K throughout the quarter.
