The second quarter of 2022 saw interesting trends among the top 5 MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) apps on the Android platform in the United States. Here’s a detailed look at the performance metrics for Brawl Stars, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Pokémon UNITE, and Arena of Valor.
Brawl Stars from Supercell experienced a peak in weekly revenue at approximately $409K in early May, followed by a gradual decline to around $140K by the end of June. Downloads fluctuated slightly, with a notable increase to 22.3K in the final week of June. Active users saw a peak of 1.4M in late May but dipped to around 1.3M by the end of the quarter.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang from Moonton showed a peak in revenue at $243K in late April, with a subsequent decline to $140K by the end of June. Downloads spiked to 53.4K in late April but generally hovered around 10K to 12K for the rest of the quarter. Active users increased to over 309K in early May and then saw a decline to about 273K by the end of June.
League of Legends: Wild Rift from Riot Games, Inc had weekly revenue peaking at $103K in mid-May, but it generally trended downwards to around $51K by the end of June. Downloads saw a significant spike to 7.7K in early May but settled around 4K to 5K for most of the quarter. Active users peaked at 95.8K in early May and then decreased to approximately 71.4K by the end of June.
Pokémon UNITE from The Pokémon Company showed a peak in weekly revenue at $54K in late April, followed by a decline to about $21K by the end of June. Downloads remained relatively stable, peaking at 19.5K in the final week of June. Active users saw a peak of approximately 89.3K in early April but then declined to about 77.5K by the end of the quarter.
Arena of Valor from Level Infinite had a relatively modest peak in weekly revenue at $32.5K in early May, followed by a decline to around $8.6K by mid-June. Downloads peaked at 3.8K in early May but generally hovered around 2K to 3K for the rest of the quarter. Active users saw a peak of 29.3K in early May but declined to about 24.5K by the end of June.
