During Q2 2022, the top 5 shopping apps on Android in Germany displayed diverse trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at the performance of Amazon Shopping, OTTO – Online Shopping & Möbel, Takko Friends, Trendyol - Online Alışveriş, and SHEIN-Shopping Online.
Amazon Shopping saw significant fluctuations in weekly downloads, which ranged from around 29K to 58K. The highest downloads were observed in the week of June 13, peaking at approximately 59K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight dip in April, but generally hovered around 3.2M to 3.3M throughout the quarter.
OTTO – Online Shopping & Möbel experienced a peak in downloads the week of April 18, reaching about 57K. Active users for OTTO showed a slight increase in the beginning of the quarter, peaking at around 825K in early June, before experiencing a decline towards the end of June, finishing at approximately 725K.
Takko Friends had an interesting trend with a significant spike in downloads at the end of March, reaching about 93K. After a drop in early April, the app maintained a steady download rate, ranging from 20K to 50K. Active users saw a peak in early May at around 128K, followed by a slight decline, stabilizing around 115K by the end of June.
Trendyol - Online Alışveriş demonstrated a steady increase in downloads, with a notable peak in early May at about 79K. Active users for Trendyol showed a consistent upward trend throughout the quarter, starting at 115K and peaking at about 131K in late May.
SHEIN-Shopping Online displayed stable download numbers, with a slight peak in mid-April at approximately 42K. Weekly active users saw a rise in mid-May, reaching around 652K, and remained relatively high, ending the quarter at approximately 583K.
