In the second quarter of 2022, the top social apps on the Android platform in South America demonstrated notable performance trends. Here’s a detailed look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for TikTok, Facebook, BuzzCast - Live Video Chat App, Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat, and Hago- Party, Chat & Games.
TikTok saw impressive revenue figures, starting at around $150K in late March and peaking at $170K by mid-June. Weekly downloads were consistently high, with a peak of approximately 1.4M in mid-April. Active users also showcased a steady increase from 78.7M at the end of March to 81.8M by the end of June.
Facebook reported a relatively stable revenue, fluctuating around the $50K mark throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads ranged from 570K to 655K, with slight variations. Active users decreased slightly from 130.9M at the beginning of the quarter to 127.9M by the end of June.
BuzzCast - Live Video Chat App experienced a steady revenue stream, averaging around $40K per week, with a notable peak of $44K at the end of May. Downloads saw a significant spike, reaching 63.9K in early June. Active users increased from 549K at the start of the quarter to 619K by early June but slightly declined to 554K by the end of June.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat maintained a consistent revenue stream, averaging around $41K per week, with a peak of $45K at the end of June. Downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around the 47K mark, with minor fluctuations. Active users saw a slight decrease from 1.62M at the beginning of April to 1.61M by the end of June.
Hago- Party, Chat & Games reported steady weekly revenue, averaging around $25K. Downloads varied throughout the quarter, peaking at 86.9K in early May. Active users showed a fluctuating trend, starting at 585K in late March, peaking at 634K in late April, and ending at 589K by the end of June.
