During the second quarter of 2022, the top 5 MMORPG apps on iOS in Denmark showed varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look based on data from Sensor Tower.
Diablo Immortal from Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. launched on June 1, 2022, and saw an initial surge in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 13.6K in the first week of June, but then dropping to 729 by the end of the month. Weekly revenue peaked at around $26.6K in the first week and gradually decreased to approximately $14.9K by the end of June. Active users started at about 15K and declined to 7.8K over the same period.
RuneScape by Jagex experienced relatively stable performance. Weekly downloads ranged from 26 to 104, peaking in the first week of June. Revenue fluctuated minimally, with a slight dip to $85 in the first week of June, ending the quarter at approximately $141. Active users saw a minor decline from 220 to 143 throughout the quarter.
League of Angels: Chaos by YOOZOO (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. had modest download numbers, starting at 116 in late March and dropping to 41 by the end of June. Revenue showed a significant drop from $315 in late March to $40 by the end of June.
Old School RuneScape, another title from Jagex, maintained a consistent weekly download rate between 25 and 70 throughout Q2 2022. Revenue was relatively stable, peaking at $420 in the last week of June. Active users hovered around 370 to 430, with minor fluctuations.
MU ORIGIN 3 from FingerTips saw an initial spike in weekly downloads with 263 in the last week of May, but this number dwindled to 84 by the end of June. Revenue peaked at $770 in late May and stabilized around $292 by the end of June. Active users declined from 134 to 74 over the same period.
