During the third quarter of 2022, the top five dating apps on Android in Romania demonstrated diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. According to data from Sensor Tower, here is how each app performed:
OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $2K in mid-July and then gradually declining to around $1.1K by the end of September. Weekly downloads for OmeTV saw a downward trend from 8.2K in late June to about 4.9K by the end of September. Active users also showed a decreasing trend, moving from 70.4K to 59.7K over the quarter.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $8.6K in mid-September. Weekly downloads for Tinder remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 2.9K and 3.7K. The app maintained a strong base of active users, ranging from 175.8K to 191.1K throughout the quarter.
Dating and Chat - SweetMeet showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $114 by early September. Weekly downloads witnessed a significant rise, peaking at 3.5K in mid-September. Active users for SweetMeet also increased, growing from 4K to almost 7K over the quarter.
Walkie Talkie - All Talk did not generate any revenue during the quarter. However, it saw a remarkable spike in weekly downloads in mid-September, reaching 13.8K. Active users also surged dramatically in the same period, from around 2.8K to 27.2K.
Tabor – Dating experienced a decline in weekly revenue, dropping from approximately $108 in late June to $56 by the end of September. Weekly downloads also saw a significant decrease, falling from 2.3K to just 368 over the quarter. Active users for Tabor followed a similar trend, decreasing from 6.6K to 5.1K.
