In the third quarter of 2022, the top 5 insurance apps in Germany showed varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Here's a detailed look at how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Meine AOK saw a consistent number of weekly downloads, starting from around 26K at the beginning of the quarter and experiencing a slight dip mid-quarter before reaching a peak of approximately 27K in the week of September 19. Active users fluctuated between 108K and 133K, ending the quarter at approximately 119K.
TK-App maintained a stable download rate, with weekly downloads ranging from 14K to 27K, peaking at 27K in the week of September 5. The app’s active users saw a high of around 178K in early September but declined to 150K by the end of the quarter.
Allianz Gesundheits-App experienced a significant spike in weekly downloads, peaking at about 62K in mid-July, but then declined to around 2.6K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 35K and peaking at 107K in late July before stabilizing around 56K.
BARMER-App showed steady weekly downloads throughout the quarter, hovering around 11K to 14K. The app’s active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly between 141K and 146K.
Meine Allianz had weekly downloads ranging from 4.6K to 12.8K, with a peak in late July. Active users increased from approximately 28K at the beginning of the quarter to around 31K by the end of September.
