The fourth quarter of 2022 saw significant activity in the finance app sector on the Android platform in Turkey. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here is an overview of the performance of the top 5 finance apps: Ziraat Mobile, Yapı Kredi Mobile - SuperApp, Akbank, İşCep - Mobile Banking, and Papara.
Ziraat Mobile showed strong weekly downloads, starting at approximately 156K in late September and ending the quarter around 152K. Weekly active users saw a steady increase from 8.4M in late September to over 9.1M by the end of December.
Yapı Kredi Mobile - SuperApp experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 161K in late September and ending at 84K in the last week of December. However, weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 4.8M to 5M throughout the quarter.
Akbank had a varied download trend, peaking at around 127K at the end of December after starting at 105K in late September. Weekly active users also showed a growth trend, rising from approximately 3.3M in late September to 3.4M by the end of December.
İşCep - Mobile Banking saw fluctuating weekly downloads, beginning at 129K in late September and dropping to around 86K by the end of December. Weekly active users maintained a stable range, starting at approximately 3.9M and ending the quarter at around 4.1M.
Papara had weekly downloads that started at 97K in late September and decreased to 75K by the end of December. Despite this, weekly active users showed an upward trend, increasing from around 1.8M to over 2M during the same period.
