In Q4 2022, the top 5 insurance apps on the Android platform in Nigeria demonstrated notable trends in downloads and user engagement. Here’s a detailed look at how these apps performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.
MyAXA Plus saw a consistent number of weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Starting at 1.5K in late September, downloads slightly fluctuated but remained above 1.3K each week, peaking at 1.8K in mid-November.
Sanlam Nigeria, which launched in early October, experienced an initial surge with 293 downloads. The app quickly gained traction, reaching a peak of 1.9K downloads in mid-November and maintaining a steady count around 1.7K throughout December.
Reliance Care exhibited a varied download pattern. The app started Q4 with 1K downloads weekly but saw a dip in mid-November, dropping to 305. However, it rebounded by the end of November, maintaining around 700 to 900 downloads weekly in December.
Hygeia Mobile had a modest performance with weekly downloads ranging from 155 to 473. The highest spike occurred in early October, reaching 473 downloads, but the numbers generally stayed below 300 for most of the quarter.
Jolly super app by Sunday showed a progressive increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter. The app started with 139 downloads in late November and grew steadily, peaking at 577 downloads in the last week of December.
