In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top five shopping apps on the Android platform in Brazil showcased diverse performance trends in terms of weekly downloads and active users. Data provided by Sensor Tower highlights the key metrics for SHEIN-Shopping Online, Shopee: 9.9 Super Shopping Day, Mercado Libre: Compras online, Americanas: compras online, and Magalu: loja e compras online.
SHEIN-Shopping Online had a remarkable increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 463K at the end of September and peaking at around 808K in the week of December 19. The app's weekly active users also saw fluctuations, reaching over 12M in early November before stabilizing around 11M by the end of December.
Shopee: 9.9 Super Shopping Day experienced consistent download numbers, with weekly downloads averaging around 400K. The app's active users peaked at nearly 20M in mid-October before experiencing a slight decline, ending the quarter with approximately 18M active users.
Mercado Libre: Compras online maintained steady weekly download numbers, ranging from 328K to 415K. The active user base showed minor variations, peaking at over 18M in late October and concluding the quarter at around 17M active users.
Americanas: compras online saw significant growth in weekly downloads, especially in December, reaching close to 589K in the week of December 19. The app's active users surged to over 13M in late November before stabilizing at around 8.7M by the end of the quarter.
Magalu: loja e compras online had a steady performance in terms of downloads, with numbers ranging from 212K to 341K. The active user count peaked at over 6.2M in late November and then slightly declined, ending the quarter with around 4.2M active users.
