The first quarter of 2023 saw some interesting trends among the top battlefield commander games on the Android platform in the United States. Here’s a breakdown of the performance of the top 5 games: Clash Royale, Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus ™, Art of War: Legions, Game of Khans, and Might & Magic: Era of Chaos.
Supercell's Clash Royale experienced fluctuations in revenue, starting the quarter with around $267K and peaking at roughly $297K in early January. Weekly downloads varied, peaking at approximately 26K in late February. Active users showed a slight decline from around 3.4M to 3.1M throughout the quarter.
Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus ™ by Snowprint Studios AB saw a decrease in weekly revenue, starting at $127K and dropping to around $94K by the end of March. Downloads also declined, from 11K in late December to about 6.7K in late March. However, active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 62K to nearly 70K.
Art of War: Legions from Fastone Games HK saw consistent weekly revenue, ranging from $51K to $84K. Downloads, however, showed a declining trend, dropping from 2.7K in late December to about 700 in late March. Active users also decreased from around 60K to 34K over the same period.
DreamPlus Games’ Game of Khans exhibited steady weekly revenue, starting at $44K and stabilizing around $36K by the end of March. Downloads peaked at approximately 6.8K in late February. Active users saw a peak of nearly 12K in early January but dropped to about 7.6K by the end of the quarter.
Ubisoft Mobile Games' Might & Magic: Era of Chaos had modest weekly revenue figures, peaking at $27K in mid-March. Active users showed a declining trend, decreasing from about 1.9K to 1.6K over the quarter.
