During the first quarter of 2023, the top five dating apps on the Android platform in the United States showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, highlights the performance of these apps.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date saw a consistent increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $1.33M in the last week of March. Downloads spiked significantly to 150K in early February before stabilizing around the 50K-60K range. Active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter at approximately 1.97M.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date maintained a steady revenue stream, hovering around $850K-$910K weekly. Downloads varied between 45K and 64K, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 2.5M.
Plenty of Fish Dating App experienced modest weekly revenue, peaking at $819 in late February. Downloads saw a slight dip from 35K to around 27K towards the end of March. Active users showed a downward trend, decreasing from over 400K to about 288K by the end of the quarter.
Wizz App - chat now generated weekly revenue consistently around $8K-$9K. Downloads decreased from approximately 50K at the start of the year to about 22K by the end of March. Active users, however, increased from 89K to over 132K, showcasing growing user engagement.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Date recorded a steady rise in revenue, peaking at $552K in late February. Weekly downloads remained consistent around 24K-32K. Active users experienced minor fluctuations but remained close to 1.2M throughout the quarter.
