In the first quarter of 2023, the top five news applications on the iOS platform in Algeria demonstrated diverse performance trends. Here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics for these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Le Monde, Live News experienced a fluctuating trend in weekly revenue, peaking at around $51 in the last week of February. Weekly downloads saw a notable drop to 1 in early March but rebounded to 43 the following week. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 455 and ending the quarter at 407.
Le Figaro : Actualités et Info showed a peak in weekly revenue of $44 in early February. Downloads were highest at 42 in the second week of January, but saw a significant decline towards the end of the quarter. Active users had slight fluctuations, ending the quarter at 192.
PressReader: News & Magazines saw a peak in weekly revenue of $44 in early January. Downloads were highest at 149 in mid-January but dropped to zero towards the end of the quarter. Active users saw a gradual decline from 284 at the start of the quarter to 220 by the end.
The Economist(Legacy) MEA Tab maintained a consistent weekly revenue around $13 to $16 throughout the quarter. However, there were no downloads reported during this period.
The New Yorker saw a significant revenue peak of $135 in mid-January. Weekly downloads varied, with a high of 263 at the end of December and a low of 117 in March. Active users showed a stable trend, starting at 1176 and ending at 1218.
