In Q1 2023, the top utilities applications on the iOS platform in Switzerland showcased diverse performance trends in terms of downloads and active users. The data provided by Sensor Tower offers a detailed look into the weekly performance of Google, Microsoft Edge: AI Browser, SwissID, Google Chrome, and My Swisscom.
Google maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads starting at approximately 12.4K at the end of December, experiencing fluctuations throughout the quarter, and ending at nearly 10K in the last week of March. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 380K.
For Microsoft Edge: AI Browser, the quarter began with downloads at about 2.3K, peaking at 10.3K in mid-February, and then stabilizing around 5.9K by the end of March. Active users saw a steady increase from 56.6K to approximately 97.7K over the quarter.
SwissID showed significant variations in downloads. The app started with about 2K downloads at the end of December, peaked at nearly 14.5K in mid-January, and concluded the quarter with approximately 2K downloads in the last week of March.
Google Chrome experienced consistent download numbers, starting at around 4.8K and peaking at 8.7K in late January, before stabilizing around 5.2K by the end of March. The active user base remained stable, fluctuating slightly around 334K throughout the quarter.
Lastly, My Swisscom had a steady performance with weekly downloads ranging from 3.3K at the start of the quarter to 5.1K in early March, ending at 3.6K in the final week of March. Active users saw a slight increase from 8.5K to 10.8K over the quarter.
