In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 apparel applications in Germany showed diverse performance trends on a unified platform. Here's a closer look at how each app fared:
SHEIN - Shopping Online experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 62K in late December and peaking at around 89.6K in early February. By the end of March, downloads stabilized at about 79.9K. The app also saw a significant rise in weekly active users, growing from 845K at the end of December to over 1.1M by the end of March.
Zalando – Online fashion showed more variability in its weekly downloads, starting at around 56K in late December and experiencing a gradual decline to approximately 45.3K by the end of March. Weekly active users for Zalando fluctuated, starting at 960K in late December, dipping to around 866K in mid-February, and then rising again to 922K by the end of March.
H&M - we love fashion had a relatively stable download rate, with a notable spike from 30.1K in late January to 46.8K by the end of the month. Downloads then fluctuated between 27.2K and 45.5K throughout the quarter. The app's weekly active users saw some ups and downs, starting at 599K at the end of December and peaking at around 626K in late January, before stabilizing at around 585K by the end of March.
ABOUT YOU Online Fashion Shop experienced a steady growth in weekly downloads, beginning at 18.3K in late December and reaching around 36.4K by early March. The app’s weekly active users also showed a general upward trend, starting at 206K at the end of December and peaking at about 248K by mid-March, before settling at 234K by the end of the quarter.
Lastly, LightInTheBox saw an increase in weekly downloads, rising from 20.4K in late December to a peak of 35.4K by the end of February. Downloads then slightly decreased to approximately 28.4K by the end of March. The app’s weekly active users followed a similar trend, starting at 83.6K in late December and climbing to about 124K by early March, before slightly dropping to 116K by the end of the quarter.
