In the first quarter of 2023, the top dining and restaurant applications in the United Kingdom showcased varying trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps, with data provided by Sensor Tower.
McDonald’s U.K. had a notable quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at around 74K and dipping to a low of 56K before surging to an impressive 269K in the final week of March. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, beginning at 989K and peaking at 1.3M in the last week of the quarter.
Domino's Pizza Delivery experienced relatively stable download numbers, ranging from 60K to 77K throughout the quarter. Active users saw a gradual increase, starting from 336K and reaching up to 361K by the end of March.
KFC App UKI - Order & Delivery showed a sharp spike in downloads at the beginning of the year, with 164K in the first week of January, before stabilizing between 34K and 62K for the remainder of the quarter. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 248K and peaking at 554K in early January, then stabilizing around 309K by the end of March.
Costa Coffee Club saw its weekly downloads peak at 59K in mid-January, with a consistent range between 37K and 58K for the rest of the quarter. Active users remained steady, starting at 372K and reaching up to 447K in early January, then maintaining around 398K by the end of March.
Greggs had a consistent performance in downloads, ranging from 30K to 44K throughout the quarter. Active users saw a steady increase from 199K, peaking at 238K in mid-January, and maintaining around 220K towards the end of March.
