State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the first quarter of 2023, the top five navigation applications in Mexico exhibited diverse performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these apps performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Google Maps from Google maintained a strong presence in the market. Weekly downloads saw a consistent upward trend, starting at around 65K in late December and peaking at approximately 93K by the end of March. Active users also showed steady engagement, fluctuating around 4.2M to 4.3M throughout the quarter.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic from Waze Inc. experienced stable weekly downloads, with numbers hovering between 43K and 57K. Active users, however, showed a slight decline, starting at about 1.15M in early January and dropping to approximately 965K by the end of March.
Moovit: All Transit Options from Moovit App Global LTD saw a modest increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $390 in mid-January. Downloads were relatively stable, averaging around 25K to 32K per week. Active users saw significant growth, rising from 407K in late December to nearly 678K by the end of March.
ECOBICI from Lyft, Inc. showed a gradual increase in downloads, starting at 1.8K in late December and reaching up to 4.7K by the end of March. However, no revenue data was recorded for the app during this period.
Spoten Phone Location Tracker from Applabel LTD saw a varied performance in weekly revenue, peaking at $1.7K in early January and maintaining around $1.4K towards the end of March. Downloads saw a noticeable increase towards the end of the quarter, rising from 516 in early February to 2.4K by the end of March. Active users showed fluctuations, with numbers ranging from 19K to 36K.
