2026 State of Mobile is Live!

In the first quarter of 2023, the top five social networking apps in Peru exhibited varied performance trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.
WhatsApp Messenger had a notable increase in weekly downloads, especially in the last week of March, reaching approximately 204K downloads. Revenue peaked mid-January at around $27, while weekly active users consistently hovered around 19M, ending the quarter at roughly 19.1M.
Facebook maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at about 153K in late December and ending the quarter with around 128K downloads. Revenue saw a high of approximately $15K in mid-January. Active users remained steady, ending March with around 16.7M users.
Messenger showed a gradual increase in downloads, culminating at around 75K in the last week of March. Revenue was highest in the same week, reaching about $197. Active users saw a slight decline, ending the quarter at roughly 6.8M.
Google Meet experienced a growth in weekly downloads, with a peak of about 20K in mid-March. Active users also increased, ending the quarter at approximately 676K.
Telegram Messenger had a peak in weekly downloads at the beginning of January with about 137K downloads. Revenue fluctuated, peaking at around $1.3K in late February. Active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter with around 777K users.
